Think Roman Holiday days and La Dolce Vita nights; the clink of glasses with whiskey or champagne, a trace of smoke, a whiff of creamy new leather, and lingering gazes from across a room.

Bvlgari Men’s Colognes evokes the Golden Age of Hollywood glamor with a modern, masculine edge. Each scent has a star quality of its own, unique as the man who wears them and is suited for every occasion — from a black-tie affair to nailing a presentation at the office or getting cozy with good company.

We’ve selected the very best of the Bvlgari Man colognes for the sophisticated, contemporary gentleman who’s worthy of the spotlight.

Our Favorite Bvlgari Men's Colognes

Bvlgari BLV Eau de Toilette

Bvlgari Man In Black EDP

Bvlgari Man In Black (alias “Bvlgari Black”) is the cologne equivalent of James Bond. Stylish, sharp, confident, and bold. Wear it and feel like the boss or most intriguing man in the room.

The rich, supple scent of leather is peppered with exotic spice notes and blended with rum. Intoxicating iris and tuberose balance it out without being too floral, for these are no wallflowers.

The combination is the perfect cocktail for a heavy, heady fragrance that creates an air of mystery and allure. It’s bold and brazen though not overwhelming. It begs you to come closer.

Douse yourself with this head-turning cologne to ace that important interview, seal the deal of a lifetime, or captivate the attention of who you most desire, even if you haven’t met them yet.

Bvlgari BLV Eau de Toilette

Bvlgari BLV Eau de Toilette

Created for Bvlgari by Spanish master perfumer Alberto Morillas, Bvlgari BLV Eau de Toilette for Men is about as classic as it gets. It’s perfect for daily wear but anything but boring.

This is the cologne for a man who’s confident yet carefree, comfortable in his skin, the kind of man who is content among skyscrapers as he is in the great outdoors.

The scent is warm and inviting, woodsy, spicy, and masculine without being overpowering. We love the surprising elements of how the notes intertwine and the way it wears on your skin.

Bvlgari Man Eau de Toilette

Bvlgari Man EDT

Bvlgari Man Eau de Toilette carries some of the notes featured in BLV, but has wandered Bvlgari Man Eau de Toilette carries some of the notes featured in BLV but has wandered deeper into the woods where wild beasts roam freely. The scent is unapologetically masculine as the name indicates — it is simply called “Man.”

The intensity of its muskiness is offset with soothing balmy notes and a whisper of sweet floral to ensure both the wearer and those inhaling their scent that beyond the macho facade lies a complex and thoughtful gentleman.

Bvlgari Man conjures the image of a peaceful repose in a lush meadow after some very vigorous activities. (Read into that however you like!)

Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli

Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli

Just when it seemed that Bvlgari Man Eau de Toilette brought out the beast (though a gentle one) in the wearer and those around them, along comes Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli to knock everything else out of the forest

This is when the house of Bvlgari brings out its bacchanalian side. After all, it is an adornment and fragrance company inspired by ancient Rome, and this scent is pure orgiastic decadence!

Sweet and spicy neroli contrast with the sharp, powerful notes of bergamot (think Earl Grey tea). Middle notes of complimenting orange blossom (Neroli comes from the same tree), comforting cedar, and earthy nagarmotha.

If the Roman deities Bacchus was around today, there’s no donut he’d splash himself with a bit of Bvlgari Man Wood Neroli. It’s a super sexy scent that is sure to raise-eyebrows and steal a few hearts when you are looking to get into some good trouble.

Bvlgari Man Wood Essence Eau De Parfum

Bvlgari Man Wood Essence EDP

Another delightful, albeit more recent (2018), this concoction from master perfumer Alberto Morillas, Bvlgari Man Wood Essence, continues where the quintessential masculinity of Bvlgari BLV Eau de Toilette left off. It adds some of the woodsiness of the other, more adventurous Bvlgari colognes.

This killer combination makes Bvlgari Man Wood Essence the perfect fit for a gentleman looking to strike a balance between classic and daring.

It’s a robust, full-bodied scent that wears well and smells equally delicious on the skin for your morning commute at sunrise or a candlelit dinner.

Bvlgari by Bvlgari Eau de Toilette

Bvlgari Pour Homme EDT

This timeless cologne was one of Bvlgari’s first, and it’s no surprise that it has lasting power. French master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud concocted the potent potion in 1995. Some things never go out of style, and this is the company’s signature scent.

Bvlgari by Bvlgari Eau de Toilette blends inviting florals with sensual muskiness. It’s lush, dignified, and very masculine while retaining a light and refreshing finish. We love the full-bodied richness that is long-wearing but never aggressive.

Like a fine wine or good whiskey, some things only get better with age.

Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir

Pour Homme Soir EDT by Bvlgari

Reminiscent of evening soirees that last until dawn (or into the next day), Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir carries the most oriental notes of the Bvlgari Men’s Colognes collection.

Debuted in 2006, it has staying power on your skin equal to its lasting presence in the fragrance market. The fresh green scents of tea and citrus bergamia blossom and expose more earthy papyrus and vera wood, then finish with the thick, sensual base notes of amber and musk.

It’s a fragrance that makes you feel whisked away to an exotic location or an era gone by.

Aqva Amara EDT by Bvlgari

Aqva Amara EDT by Bvlgari

One of Bvlgari Men’s Colognes’ sexiest aromas is Aqva Amara Eau de Toilette. It transports the wearer (and those who surround him) to a romantic Italian villa, if only temporarily in the mind and nose.

The medium-bodied fragrance bursts with Neroli and Sicilian mandarin, while exotic tones of frankincense and Indonesian patchouli take the citrus notes down to earth and add a deeply sensual element.

Aqva Pour Homme by Bvlgari EDT

Aqva Pour Homme EDTby Bvlgari

Another complex sensory achievement from master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud is Aqva Pour Homme by Bvlgari Eau de Toilette.

Favoring more refreshing, aquatic notes, this blend is remarkably unique.

Though it lacks the more traditionally masculine woody notes or the sensuous, exotic spices, it’s an unusual choice full of mystique that suits summertime escapades or can be worn to set you apart from the rest.

Bvlgari Man Extreme EDT

Bvlgari Man Extreme EDT

With a name such as Bvlgari Man Extreme, the Eau de Toilette had better live up to its title. Thankfully, it does.

Created for the modern-day adventurer and urban explorer, Bvlgari Man Extreme is another Bvlgari Men’s Cologne devised by Alberto Morillas.

The opening notes feature a spritz of juicy pink grapefruit and sensual Calabrian bergamot that suggests invitingly, “Won’t you come out and play?” Floral essences round out the intensity with a subtle whiff of sumptuous white freesia and soothing lavender, while cardamom notes influence the masculine appeal.

About Bvlgari

Bvlgari (pronounced “Bulgari” but stylized with the Latin “v” in place of the “u” as a nod to ancient Rome) was founded in 1884 by Greek silversmith Sotirios Boulgaris and has since transformed into an international jewelry, fashion, fragrance, and recently hotels luxury empire synonymous with classiness and bold design.

Hollywood stars such as Ingrid Bergman and Elizabeth Taylor (think Cleopatra splendor) wore the brand’s distinctive adornments in the 1950s and ’60s, and recognition rose. The 1970s and ’80s were Bvlgari’s time of global expansion.

In 1993 the first fragrance was launched, and the late 20th and 21st century proved Bvlgari’s versatility beyond wearable items to hotels and resorts.

Who Makes Bvlgari Man? (Meet the Perfumers)

Behind every star of the Hollywood silver screen was a visionary director coaxing them to express their highest potential.

In the same way, master perfumers tirelessly try the “scenes” of the scents over and over again until they achieve that perfect performance — a memorable cologne that evokes fond memories and provokes you to make more of them.

Bvlgari had a lot to prove when the jewelry and fashion house expanded into fragrances. They had to ensure their mark was made by inviting the very best noses and potion wizards, master perfumers.

Jacques Cavallier Belletrud (Givenchy Hot Couture, Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio, and Issey Miyake L’Eau d’Issey) was born in Grasse, France — the fragrance capital of the world — and Seville-born, Swiss-bred Alberto Morillas, is the man responsible for some of the most beloved fragrances of all time (nearly 7,000 perfumes including the iconic CK One).

These passionate men have devoted their lives to developing legendary fragrances for men and women. They are truly sensory auteurs in their own right.
