Tiege Hanley Review: Affordable Skin Care for Guys?

There are certain things in life that just shouldn’t be difficult. Taking care of your skin is one of them.

It can be daunting comparing skincare and grooming products with a long list of Latin in the ingredients — it can also be tricky trying to figure out what actually works. Tiege Hanley is an affordable and uncomplicated men’s skincare subscription that helps guys look and feel amazing without asking for your firstborn.

I got a chance to try out their skincare system and here’s what I learned.

Wash

Daily Face Wash

First things first — their face wash smells absolutely amazing. It has a woody and earthy kind of scent that isn’t too strong or harsh. It’s a low-foam wash that is perfect for sensitive skin and cleans without stripping your face off or drying it out…which is always a plus that often goes unrecognized.

This is the first step to any of their systems and is a great product to use both in the morning and before bed.

Scrub

Facial Exfoliating Scrub

One of the biggest things that I enjoyed about their scrub is what’s in their ingredients.

The exfoliants in the scrub are actually crushed apricot seeds, which works dead skin and other impurities out, again, without shredding your face up.

This is a mild smelling product that has one of the most refreshing effects I’ve experienced in a scrub. Even after rinsing with warm water, my face still felt cool and fresh. The scrub only needs to be used twice a week, but honestly, it was my favorite product within the group and I wanted to use it more.

Eyes

Tiege Hanley AM/PM Eye Cream tube

AM/PM Eye Cream

If you’re a strong believer in the phrase, “I’ll sleep when I’m dead,” or if mornings are just generally unkind to your eyes — Tiege Hanley’s eye cream is well worth the level up.

When I was younger my grandma used to tell me that if people had crow’s feet around their eyes, it meant that they laughed a lot — while that’s all well and good gran, I need that bird to step off my face and take the additional ten years it threw on my skin with it.

Rant aside, this is a mild cream that goes on after the wash and their serum if you use that. It’s infused with caffeine to increase circulation which helps reduce redness, puffiness, and even crow’s feet. It’s a solid eye cream to help combat signs of aging and has no fragrance.

Super Serum

AM/PM Facial Firming Serum

AM/PM Facial Firming Serum

If you’re over 25 and decide to level up on the third skincare system — the super serum goes on after the wash and before the AM or PM moisturizer.

The serum is thinner than the eye cream, so despite the similar packaging, this one will come out much quicker so be careful and don’t get it all over the counter like I did.

There’s a lot of benefits in the serum ranging from softer skin to promoting nutrient absorption. It’s great for restoring moisture and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. But be sure to use the AM moisturizer after using this during the day — the SPF in it will help protect your face from the sun.

Tiege Hanley AM/PM Morning and Evening Moisturizers

AM/PM Morning and Evening Moisturizers

Both of these products are the last step for any level of skincare, however, the AM is only used in the morning and the PM is only used in the evening.

Both of these are key moisturizers that are needed to rehydrate the skin and soften it as well.

The AM Morning Facial Moisturizer has SPF 20 in it and will protect your skin from harmful UV rays, especially if you use their super serum. It has a light rosemary fragrance that is both relaxing and pleasant without making you smell like an herb garden.

The PM Facial Moisturizer works as a rejuvenating agent to help your skin repair itself after a long day. It’s a collagen stimulator and uses tea tree and aloe extracts to help skin heal while you rest, which also helps it smell so clean.

Tiege Hanley Review: Overall Thoughts

I really loved that this brand keeps its costs low without skipping out on using quality ingredients. All of these products work best when used as an entire system, however, I did use some independently and they worked pretty well too, especially the wash and eye cream.
